Death Valley: Cottonwood/Marble Canyon

A 30 mile loop in the Cottonwood Canyon backcountry of Death Valley, one of the many beautiful national parks in California.

Contrary to its famous namesake, the area is full of life, especially in the spring time. My group endured long stretches with no shade or water in 95 degree heat—but you might be surprised how many flowers and plants we saw along the way. –Scott Parish
